Don’t Take Deferred Adjudication When You Can Get A Deferred Disposition.
Here is why. You can get a deferred disposition ("disposition") expunged, but you can’t get a deferred adjudication ("adjudication") expunged.
With an adjudication, you really do have a probation officer who can call you, visit you, and require you to meet with him. With a disposition, you don’t.
Adjudications cost more. Court costs are usually hundreds of dollars more alone, to say nothing of fines and fees to be paid to the probation office.
